Matilda Hotel

Matilda Hotel is located in the most beautiful area of Zakynthos Vasilikos in the heart of the National Marine Park of Zakynthos which is the natural habitat of the sea turtle Caretta-Caretta. It has access to the beautiful beach of Porto Azzuro, while at a distance of 3 walking minutes  guests can enjoy a beautiful "unspoiled" beach. Only 3-5 driving minutes away from Matilda are the sandy and picturesque beaches of the island, such as Banana, Porto Roma, Agios Nikolas, but also Gerakas, Daphne, and Sekania which are spawning grounds of the sea turtle. The hotel is built amphitheatrically, and almost all its rooms, with the unpretentious luxury of the simplicity and elegant space, have a simultaneous dreamy sea view offering our guests the feeling they are on a balcony on the Ionian Sea. Matilda’s special architectural style was based on the elements of a traditional Zakynthian Mansion and in 2021 the rooms and bathrooms were renovated, maintaining, and supporting the sensitive, ecological, and romantic elements of its philosophy.

Its spacious 51 rooms have autonomous air conditioning that does not recycle and does not "share" the same air with other rooms or spaces. Each room is equipped with a safe box, mini bar, coffee corner, flat-screen TV, hairdryer, and free WI-FI internet, while the private balcony offers magnificent views of the green and emerald colors of the Ionian Sea. The gardens, the swimming pools for adults and children, the playground, the restaurant by the pool, the large parking lot, and all its elegant spaces are surrounded by sea and olive groves that in addition to absolute relaxation offer the opportunity to its guests to taste the olives and olive oil produced and used especially for the hotel. Walking, swimming, athletic activities on the beach of Agios Nikolaos such as scuba diving and water sports and relaxation with the natural therapeutic argil clay next to Vourderi beach, are some of the small pleasures that the beautiful environment of the area offers to guests.
